Sociedad Benefactora y Proteccion de Animales
(SBPA)
The SBPA Neuter/Spay Clinic, founded in 1995, is located in the DIF building in the Ranchitos Campestre neighborhood in San Carlos. The clinic operates solely with volunteer help and is open on a semi-regular basis depending on the availability of volunteer veterinarians.
The purpose of the clinic is two-fold: (1) Reduce the overpopulation of animals by offering neuter/spay services for strays, abandoned and feral animals inhabiting San Carlos and the surrounding areas: and for domestic animals belonging to low-income persons. (2) Reduce the threat of transmittable diseases by the control of the over-population of animals and through a vaccination program.
SBPA NEUTER/SPAY CLINIC DOES NOT OPERATE
AN ANIMAL SHELTER NOR IS IT A VETERINARY CARE FACILITY.
How
can you help?
The
SBPA needs clinic and fundraising volunteers.
Clinic volunteers do everything from trapping and transporting feral
animals for sterilization: to assisting in the clinic during operations; to
working with fostered animals waiting for adoption. There is a growing need for these people and also for people to
help with the various fund raising events.
