The truth about hard water.- Hard water is defined as water that contains the minerals calcium and magnesium. The problems related to "Hard Water" are not caused by calcium or magnesium but rather the bicarbonate crystalline form of them. The crystalline form these minerals have taken will make contact and form on one another causing a build-up and ultimately water flow impedance. Long term flow of untreated "Hard Water" will cause an earlier than necessary failure of water using appliances.

What water "Softening" actually does.- In the water softening process, calcium and magnesium carbonates, naturally occurring chemical comounds, are exchanged for sodium chloride (salt) or potassium chloride. To remove the salt taste, the water must then be processed through a Reverse Osmosis system. These systems require constant maintenance through filter changes and additional sal/potassium chloride. Both systems expel either a disproportionate amount of waste water or brine discharge to provide you with softened or conditioned Water. For every gallon of drinking water achieved four more gallons are wasted down the drain.

The H2O Millenia Solution.- The H2O Millenia system uses electrical impulses to break down the calcium bicarbonate and magnesium bicarbonate crystals and changes them into a powder form. This powder form of calcium and magnesium are soluble and now are useful to your body and the environment. This powder form cannot stick to you pipes and plumbing fixtures. Your hard water and all of it's problems are eliminated without the salt smell or the "soft water slime". Our filter media consists of Carbon, a quartz bed and the process media Kinet Degradation Fluxion (KDF).
The combination removes heavy metals as well as any chlorine, arsenic, herbicides, trihalomethane and most solvents. The carbon life is extenden tenfold by the addition of KDF. The backwash for other systems must go directly down the drain as they contain large quantities of salt and potassium chlorides. How Impulse Technology Works.- Our system functions by controlling the form changes of calcium crystals. Basisc of calcium-crystals. Calcium bi-carbonate crystals are insoluble, but are changes by Energy into the soluble form of calcium carbonate crystals. Calcium carbonate crystals that are soluble and have a rhombohedral (dog-tooth like) shape are called Calcite. Clacite crystals are small and very adherent and create the deposits in the water. Calcium carbonate crystals that are soluble and have an acicular (needle like)  shape are called Aragonite. Therse crystals are very small, but not adherent.

By utilizing low voltage, high frequency impulses at a rate of 3500-4000 times per second we physically change the highly adherent, insoluble Calcium Bi-carbonate crystals into the soluble Calcium Carbonate form called Aragonite. Our microchip based electronics regulate the frequency generated based on the conductivity and hardness of the water to insure the proper form changes in the Calcium. The H2O Millenia story.- H2O Millenia, S.A. de C.V. is a locally owned, San Carlos based, Mexican Corporation. We are the sole distributor in Mexico for the Exwatec water treatment systems manufacturated in Germany. Exwatec has a network of dealers throughout the USA and Europe. While new to the Northern and Latin Americas, Exwatec's produict line has been serving Europe for years. In 1989 it received Europe's "new product of the year". After years of sucess, and satisfied customers, the systems were adapted for the Northern and Latin American markets.
Our product line consists of commercial, residential and swimming pool systems were the first introduced to the USA. Where several large companies, like Johnson and Johnson, have been using them. The maintenance free residential combo system followed with great success.
